Twenty minutes after hitting the ground the cat approached this small clump of brush a couple of hundred meters from where it had been resting. For as far as we could see, there were no potential prey animals visible. After a few minutes the leopard jumped into the brush, there small cloud of dust, and it emerged dragging a reed buck.
Thirty minutes after starting the hunt, the leopard dragged it's prey up a different tree. Our guide, Anglebert Panteleo, had maneuvered us into a perfect position, but I had zoomed my lens out to capture the scene just as the cat leaped up trunk.
